The NYAA Council provides platforms to expose the young to develop hands-on and leadership skills, through coordinating opportunities at international and national projects and conferences. The council aims to nurture and grow the young towards becoming exceptional individuals.
The council works to develop and maximise the potential of young people from 13 to 30 years old through Service Learning, Outdoor Appreciation and Healthy Living so that they may be exceptional individuals who can make a difference and contribute to their society and nation.
Tejas Ewing is one of the leading smartphone filmmakers in Asia. He focuses on creative, intelligent and innovative films that put the audience first. He has worked on over forty films that have won multiple awards and been screened at festivals in twelve countries. He teaches smartphone filmmaking at multiple schools and universities across Asia, and is a lecturer at both NAFA and NTU. He is currently developing exclusive creative content for Sony, using their Xperia range of smartphones. He has a passion for telling compelling stories that encourage audiences to think about social and environmental issues. His goal is to inspire the next generation of filmmakers to get out there and make films with the tools they already have: a phone, an idea and the commitment to work hard and have fun!
