ONLY FILMS SHOT ON SMARTPHONES WILL BE REVIEWED
DSLRs, compact cameras or hybrid cameras are not acceptable.
Use of additional equipment (professional or homemade) is allowed, including (but not limited to) external microphones, attachable lenses, lights and other smartphone accessories.
Any software can be used to edit the video and audio. Colour correction and special effects are allowed.
All submissions containing spoken language(s) other than English must be subtitled in English.
Copyrighted materials should not be used in your film unless you have written permission to do so.
We are not liable for any copyrighted material unlawfully used.
You must be able to attend the live screening to be eligible for the top prizes.
You must furnish your banking and payment details after the screening to be able to receive the top prizes.

The film must be an original production. It may not infringe on the copyright, trademark or other rights of any organisation. All visuals within the film should be shot on smartphones.
Films must be between one and ten minutes, in total, including all titles and credits. Films outside of this range will not be accepted, under any circumstances.
All contest entrants grant the Film Together organisers a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, publish, reproduce, screen, modify, and broadcast their film on March 31st at the live screening (private and invite-only), as well as the unrestricted future, non-exclusive use of the film for promotional purposes, without compensation to the applicant. This includes not just the live screening, but any other promotional and/or editorial and/or to be determined use, including for future Film Together events and current and future online materials.
Films under consideration for prizes may be asked to submit two or more behind-the-scenes photos and/or videos to verify smartphone usage. The applicants grant the Film Together organisers a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive right to use, publish, reproduce, screen, modify, broadcast and distribute these behind-the-scenes materials, as well as the names of the film, its filmmakers and cast and crew, and any descriptions of the film for any purpose, without compensation to the applicant, including for future Film Together festivals and online materials.
NOTE: Title of Film, Name of Director, Duration, Country of Production, and Name of Smartphone must be typed clearly and consistently on all submitted materials (i.e. Submission Email & Raw Footage Proof Email).
